Well Installation by Foss

New and Old Homes Need Current Wells

Wells in Connecticut can last anywhere between 20 to 30 years with proper care. After 2-3 decades, mineral build up and other factors can make the well stop working as well as it used to, and issues are more likely to arise. If your house was built in the late 90s, it could be time for a new well.

For new homeowners, a well is an expensive and very important part of your home that you don’t want to cut corners on. You and your family use it everyday, and the water quality from it directly impacts your family. When it’s time for a brand new well, call us! Our team has been installing and servicing wells and all things water for over 40 years in the Litchfield county and New Milford area. We’re well drilling experts, and we understand the area better than anyone else locally. In New Milford, there are many hills and rock ledges that can make drilling a challenge. So it’s important to work with someone local that knows how big or small a project can be.

How Does a Well Work?

A modern well system has a few primary components. There’s the well itself, which is simply a hole that is drilled directly into the water table from the ground. The hole is lined with a pipe, and fitted with a well pump that brings the water to the surface. The tricky part about New Milford is that some wells need to be a lot deeper than others due to the geography in our area. Our trucks are equipped with tools to dig any well, and we’ve drilled wells that are more than 1,400 feet deep!
